Abergavenny Community Centre is a multi-use, multi-purpose space that has different sized rooms available for hire every day of the week.  Each is suitable for a range of uses including events, workshops, meetings, conferences, parties and clubs.  Our fees can vary, according to an ability to pay & frequency of use.  

Overview of our pricing, per hour:

New Terms & Conditions of Centre use by all Hirers due in JANUARY 2020

Main hall -  £15 - £25 

Small hall - £10  (Both £25 -£35ph)

Creative rooms -    £15

Well-being room - £12

Learning room     - £10

                                                     Welcome room   - £12-£15        

Children's Parties  Typically, (0-9 yrs) starting at £65*

A two hour party includes an extra hour ie. half an hour set up & half hour set down  * Includes use of the kitchenette for water/cups/kettle /jugs

Catering needs and numbers of guests will affect the price.

-The Centre holds a current Music Licence

- The premises is not licensed to sell alcohol

**Cancellation policy: 5 full working days for events/ buffets & 24 hours notice for other activities.

** Penalty fee: Flat fee £12 (for some events a deposit may be requested)

Catering on request  [Gold, Silver, Bronze -for parties of 20 plus people.  

Please note : Catering/refreshment charges will vary according to size of the group & individual requirements per meeting/gathering. Thank you.


Table Tennis:  £5 per table*, per hour [or if you are part of a club, you will pay the club fee)

Commercial Kitchen £9-£25 per hour (variable upon utility demands & catering requirements) Pls Note that Kitchen hirers must have public liability insurance.

     *Room Hire charges are reviewed annually (last review April 2019)

The Community Centre is located in the former Park Street Infants School. The Victorian building sits between Merthyr Road & Park Street.  The car park entrance in on Merthyr Road - not far from  Somerset Arms Hotel.

There are two exits/entrances to the building. If you find that one is not open, please use the other entrance.

Please Note: We are unable to guarantee exclusive use of any specific space/room. In keeping with the Charity’s ethos, flexibility and sharing space enables a welcome to be offered to users with a variety of needs as well as ensuring the financial stability of the Centre.  So we look forward to working with you in a 'give’n take' approach on the rare occasions when it is necessary to ask for changes in timing or room allocation.
