Abergavenny Community Trust seeks more trustees to help the charity grow
Abergavenny Community Trust, the registered charity that manages the Community Centre at the former Park Street Infant School wishes to strengthen its trustee board as it builds on the successes of its first four years.
During 2018 the Trust gained charitable status and negotiated a twenty-five year lease with its landlord, Monmouthshire County Council. Having recruited excellent new trustees earlier in the year, it is now looking for up to four more talented people to join the board.
The trustees are particularly interested in hearing from women and men with skills and experience in managing finances and buildings. Knowledge of accountancy would be an advantage. However, they are also keen to meet with potential trustees who have experience of community development or governance in the charity sector.
The trustees are committed to social justice, equality and inclusion; believe in human potential; and are enthusiastic about community-led social action and environmental justice.
If you share these values and have relevant skills, knowledge and experience to offer, you are invited to contact Jeremy Gass, Secretary to the Trustees at email@example.com for more details and an application form which is to be returned by May 20th. Interviews will be held in the evening of May 29th.
